it was a pain to get it connected to the fireplace, now I don't dare change anything. part is my problem with a more complex wifi setup. so give me options. have an advanced button or something. some of the menu selections don't do what I expect. I like to leave the light on with the flame off. setting the flame only goes to "min" why not go to off? it is far better than the included remote!

Hi Tom, thanks for taking the time to leave this review. Unfortunately the light coming off with the fireplace's burner is part of the control system and not the app. It would come off if you used the remote, too. We'll look at this for future control versions. To turn the flame off, you'd use the "OFF" option and not the control you get when "ON."

Installed the wifi module and sometimes it works...but it constantly is disconnecting from my phone so when I need it to work so I can turn the fireplace temperature up before heading to the cabin, it isn't working ..Again. very frustrated with this. I have to reset and reconnect it pretty much every weekend. The app says it added an "Upgrade firmware" option but I don't have this option and don't know if it's been upgraded since it's been installed 4 months ago!

Please do not pay additional for the wifi module. Very disappointed. I paid about $200 and the wifi module is not functioning because the app won't recognize my fireplace. When it does it won't connect. I get a variety of error messages, most of which I see others have written about several months ago. Despite the feedback from the company that these issues have been resolved, they haven't. At the current time, I can't log into the app because of server issues.

Unlike some people I was able to get it to work using Android 11. The instructions state to connect to the device WiFi ... Don't, just let it discover without connecting. If you do connect to it make sure you pick "stay connected" when it tells you there's no internet. 4 stars because the interface is outdated. Fan control shouldn't be under a settings cogwheel it should be with flame control on the main tab. Stopped working this year and will no longer connect to the fireplace. Edited

Terrible app. Had fireplace installed a month ago only to find the WiFi module that was shipped with it was outdated. Took a month to get new one which, was installed 11/4/22. Went as far as installing new, top of the line, router to ensure maximum signal strength. MANY hours wasted trying to connect without success; experiencing all of the aforementioned issues other commenters have made previously. Piece of junk, I want my $200 back!
