this version doesn't give you much room to breath at all. there is a near constant onslaught of dialog (not all of which is interesting or entertaining) and micro tasks that, as mentioned, don't give you a moment to breath and take in the game. the music and overall gameplay is a welcom reminiscence of a game I've always loved from my childhood and some of the additional wrinkles are also a welcome improvement to gameplay. overall fun, not upset about buying it and will play to completion

Some minor nonresponsive control issues when sidescrolling, and wish there was also an option to use sound effects from the original game, but overall a very entertaining and well done adaptation of a SNES classic. Would like a bit more flexibility in how one can place towers and gates, but overall I've loved reliving some of my favorite childhood moments. Thank you for this! Edited

Yes, it supports Bluetooth controllers. Quick early review. Good so far. Played the original back in the day and love Quintet games. Love the updated soundtrack. There are updates to combat in the action sequences that add more strategy. The city building feels very tutorial-ish at first and they added some tower defense style gameplay against monster hordes. I'm not sure if I like that change yet. I don't think it's bad- just different and unexpected. I will update when I get further in.

Wow, a truly outstanding remake of ActRaiser! One of the best games on Android. This version is true to the original and the improvements really are done in the spirit of the original. I love it. One caveat: Use a bluetooth Xbox controller, not the touchscreen controls. It will give you a much better experience.

It's an amazing remake and homage to the original ActRaiser, however, it'll randomly cause a Google Play notification that it's downloading some update file that never finishes and wipes out my battery. Considering how few updates the PC version had, I'll assume this is some kind of "phone home" DRM gone horribly wrong that needs to fixed or removed outright.
