This was one of my favorite games. However, the recent update (early 2025) has reduced the how much gold you can get by so much, you can't hardly advance. Gold chests that were worth 25k - 30k now only seem to give about 4 or 5k, and several other reductions. I've bought the monthly royale pass thing for quite a while. I won't buy it anymore and will likely quit playing all together. Hopefully they'll change it back!! Edited

I created an new account for the game and every time I logged in, it would ask me if I wanted to switch to a previous account. I hit 'cancel' every single time, but I accidently clicked 'confirm' and lost all of the progress I made on the new account and there was no way to get it back unless you uninstall the game and re-install it. I really with there was a way to delete old accounts for this stupid game!!!

Pay to win. Period. 2nd is frustrating: there's a thing called spawn when you place a player in action. Well, yeah, your competition can place things farther ahead of you, and there's this glitch where you can only see it until it's already at your castle! They blame it on servers and your phone but I think it's plum cheating. There'll be this Giant, good play, then all of a sudden after the Giant marches across the board another one appears out of thin air. Edited

I am sick and tired of the boxes to have to click 3-5 times and wait for the animation. The majority of players aren't 5 years old that would actually enjoy that process. It's annoying waste of time. At least give an option in setting to stop all the animation if not wanted. Go back to one click chests! The war matches are horrible one out of ten is equally matched for both sides. Much of the fun of the game has been taken away, too much has been taken away. Sell company back to supercell. Edited

It's addictive for the wrong reasons. The fun characters and mass destruction of towers and enemies pull you in until you progress too far in a short amount of time. At this point, you realize the progression is ridiculous and tedious. If you are a new player, don't even try playing now. It was fun when the game first came out, but year after year, the game digs itself into a hole, losing amounts of players. I guess that's what happens to games that become ancient over time. 🤷 Edited
