it's hard to purchase a product that is in a box, you can't see it, you can't look at it, you can't try it out. There is nothing that sells this app... buy it first. There is not even a video trying to show what it does. Also, you can't even read other reviews. No thanks... as far as your free version, it seems to be nonexistent... all that I saw on utube was about virus protection, I'm only looking to set up security cameras, and when I had trouble with the setup no one there would help. Overall, I think Norton has improved itself remarkably over the years. But it has one HUGE flaw that is absolutely maddening: Its chief mode of behavior is to market Norton products. It's difficult to stay on top of what you have installed because it's constantly trying to sell itself to you. And if you decide to upgrade to add features, you can't tell whether you've successfully accomplished what you sought to accomplish. Norton: You need to address this. This app is updated to the latest version. im using a samsung A35, which was perfectly fine before downloading and using this app. My phone is so buggy and freezing now. I fear it has put malware on my phone. Even after uninstalling, my phone is still glitching and not reaponding to screen touches and staying frozen on a screen unable to do anything. Restarted phone, and still it persists. Having to send phone off to samsung for a replacement do to the situation. Do not download!

I liked the app, until Norton became one of the problems I was trying to avoid! They charged $149 to an expired credit card, after I had cancelled automatic renewals, since I no longer needed the tier of service for which I was paying on non-existent devices! I'm currently disputing these charges with the bank, but I will certainly not be looking into any new service from Norton now!

The March 2025 update has NOT made things operate more smoothly. On the contrary, it often causes my phone to shut down whenever it starts scanning. Then, the app itself won't stay open, even after clearing the cache and doing a restart. The only fix has been to uninstall and reinstall. I'm not going to pay a premium price for this aggravation.
