Excellent app to identify problems which may affect battery performance. My first bemchmark of 3 hours showed an 18% decrease caused by an alarm setting. Since I don't use alarms, this was surprising. It was easily fixed with a toggle switch swipe. I've turned on my battery saver and those 2 changes have improved the way my (out of warranty, no longer supported) LG phone behaves. A nice addition to my life.

Very, very good concept and I wish there were more apps like it. I have an LG Stylo 6 and it closes every app as soon as I go to the home menu, turn off the phone, or even when I go to the recent apps menu. This phone does it no matter what (I've changed every setting to help). The exact reason I downloaded this was that I got tired of having to reload Pokemon Go every time I try to use another app. DontKillMyApp keeps it open (for a minute or so) about 50% of the time that I close Pokemon Go.

I finally tried a short benchmark test, which delivered a result of 100%. I've done reading on how to go into Settings to keep apps running. So far l'm pleased & learning new things. I need my multiple GPS, navigation, and topo mapping apps to work all the time (w/out "sleeping") for safety in the field, and this should let me periodically check on that. As well continuing to learn the new Android system idiosyncrasies. Great app! Edited

Many things are working now that they have stopped from working with every update. I learned a lot from reading this app's pages. You should know that Google is interfering with one of those pages by saying you have to sign that they can do whatever they want basically.. thanks guys and gals! you may want to fix the Google page. You'll see it when you look through it... I do not think that it's coming through you. If it is, either way please respond, thank you. Edited

Simple, small size and footprint, and straight to the point. That's how I like apps to be. It does the job it says it does. The 1 star raters really don't know how to read it seems. The app doesn't prevent background kills, folks, it guides and shows how the system behaves. Hence the label BENCHMARK. I stopped the benchmark at less than the minimum 1 hour run and still got the data I needed. Seems the 1 star folk just want a magical all-in-one-click fix. Totally unjustified behavior to app dev.
