I switched from the old ARD app to this new version today, for my Tatort addiction 😉. Just a bit of feedback to improve: the subtitles have a black background, can't you make it transparant, it's not visually pleasing. Furthermore, there are no dates of original broadcast anymore, would be great to see them in the list of episodes. And last but not least, to me it seems the quality of video has been downgraded compared to the old Das Erste app. Is this temporary? Oh, am using Android TV btw.

Auf die Darstellung der Untertitel haben wir keinen Einfluss. Wir haben Ihre Anregung aber aufgenommen & an die entsprechenden Kolleg*innen weitergeleitet. Bezüglich der Daten bin ich nicht sicher, was Sie genau meinen. Vermutlich beziehen Sie sich auf die Sendungsinformationen. Hier sind Verbesserungen bereits in Arbeit.

It's 20.01, about a month since other reviewers mentioned the problem, and still, the Mediathek app randomly opens as a default browser when clicking links that has nothing to do with it (I wasn't prompted to chose a default browser, it just randomly redirects to the hopepage of the app when clicking a link in an email in gmail, for example)

Since today's update (23.12.20), this app opens whenever I open any link in any other app (eg my email app or Whatsapp). Instead of a web browser, I'm confronted by the ARD app, that can't do anything with the link, of course. Same thing started happening on me wife's device at the same time, so it must be something to do with the update. Very very annoying - please fix, ARD. Update: beginner's bug still not fixed after weeks. Everyone in ARD development still asleep after Xmas? Edited
