Surprisingly good and helps you brush up on your technique. Some apps are vague and just have you brush the full 2 min. Others require expensive "smart" brushes. None of that here. The diagram here is easy to follow. The visuals are adorable and understandable. Even without thinking much if I see I should be brushing faster, I start going faster. My teeth feel much cleaner because of this app. I would seriously recommend this app to non-fans because it's that good. Edited

My 3.5yo is generally good about brushing her teeth, but getting her to sit for the full two minutes can be hard. This keeps her focused and still, because she's excited to catch something. We use an electric toothbrush and haven't had issues getting it to read unless I accidentally turn the camera too far. I do agree there should be a small break about halfway to spit, but as long as I hit pause fast enough we don't have issues.

I like it overall, but a couple things made me knock it down to 3 stars-- first of all, there's no option to turn off the background music. I listen to podcasts on my phone in the morning so this is very annoying. Second of all, only about 1/4 of the Pokémon are actually in the game-- that's only about 4 months of unique Pokémon for someone brushing their teeth twice a day! It's way less motivating to use when I can't catch new Pokémon or many of my favorites (as they are from later games).

The idea behind this app is great, but unfortunately it does not perform well. The toothbrush detection is highly flawed, and has serious trouble detecting that my kids are brushing, even though I'm watching them do it well. This results in them rarely catching Pokémon and getting very frustrated about brushing their teeth, which I'm pretty sure is the opposite of the intended effect. This app has good potential, but the sensitivity and difficulty really need to be fixed. Edited

New update finally let me "play" the "game", and overall: It's cute! Toothbrush tracking works pretty well and is a nice tool to incentivize brushing, but there's one problem: It doesn't take in account electric toothbrushes. The app wants to see you vigorously brush your teeth, which you don't really do with an electric brush. If there was a setting to allow electric toothbrushes to move slowly and still gain progress, that would make me happy since I can't really catch any Pokemon right now. Edited
