I downloaded this app thinking I was going to use it for sighting in my rifles. It's good at close range and possibly long range but it's difficult to determine a target 200 yes away. You have to enter the height of the target, for example- 1 foot tall target. Enter it and use your camera to adjust the lines at top and bottom of the target. At 200 yds away, it's very difficult to even see the target with the camera. The accuracy won't be there. But it is still a free app.

Just tested this briefly. For now all I really need it for is to measure the height of a tree that died over the winter so I can get an estimate to have it removed. So far I have not seen any ads. The dead tree is about 16 inches in diameter, so in order to increase the accuracy I will probably use a long stick to calibrate the width which should improve the accuracy some what.

tool works fine if you're educated on how this works. You put in the targets height, and then adjust the green box to match the targets size. it may not be perfect exactly, but it's a free app that works as good as a cheap spotting scope range finder.

This app couldn't be any more inaccurate at shorter distance. It seems to be better at distances over 60 yards or so but even then it's really iffy you can point at something 10ft away and it'll tell you that it's 80 yards though. I installed this before I paid for the premium but I definitely am not going to even bother

Don't whine about free apps. You download, you try it, it doesn't work and you uninstall it. I tried it and it was not accurate but I'm not going to complain about it. I actually wasn't looking for something very accurate but I'm agitated by having to guess the height of something because the object for which I have to guess a height is 100 ft away and not directly next to the distance I am measuring.
