Could use some tweaks, like visual calibration of the ruler (instead of entering exact screen size), but overall pretty useful. Edit 2019: Still as useful as always, it's been updated occasionally. 5 stars now for consistently being a useful little utility to interact with the physical world.

I LOVE this app and find it useful for a number of daily tasks. It's my "pocket microscope" instead of having to look for a magnifying glass - I also very much appreciate and frequently use the metal detector. I could go on & on. It is by far, my favorite app and I've been using smart phones back when they were "PDA's, then Pocket PC's. Tech support is friendly and accessible if it's ever necessary to consult with them. Smart tools earned their 5 stars. I highly recommend this app.

I've had this app on my last 3 phones. I don't use the devices often but when I need the height of an antenna it's there or the sound level at the shooting range I got it! The level probably gets used the most, and the magnifier works great. This app uses all the features of your phone many we didn't even know where present.

Pretty handy as is but my nit-picks: When measuring (ruler, calipers & protractor), need: 1. Fine finger track mode, possibly by sliding lower on screen, or mode setting. Lifting finger(s) invariably makes line jump off slightly. 2. Detent/snap mode so lines snap to nearest increment, 1mm or 2° for example (set by user).

This is one of the first Android apps that I ever installed. It was uninstalled today due to greedy developers. I was in an area with no cell reception and needed a leveler. This app does not work without internet access, presumably so ads can be shown. But now I'm *never* going to use this app ever again. Apparently showing me ads is more important to the developers than letting me use the app in remote areas. Your greed lost you a loyal user!

There seems to be a misunderstanding. This app does not include Internet permission itself. Therefore, ads can never be exposed. The first time you open after installation, it requires internet access to check Google authentication.
