I appreciate that KS gave us a paid version and tried to balance it accordingly. It still feels too much like a freemium game for my taste. Like most of their free titles, there's no endgame, no ability to fast forward, a focus on collecting, and a lot of waiting and watching your team do things with no input from you. I REALLY wish you could switch back to a job you've already mastered without having to pay knowledge costs. (It gets 1 automatic extra star for me for not being a freemium title.) Edited

It is neh!! I would recommend Ninja Village, Grand Prix Story, Game Dev. Story. I think it is to tasking to try and fit much of the improvements on the ship to where you can get the most out of it. Really, there is not enough room for it all. Also, just to much micro management, even for micro managing. Tokens are not to hard to obtain and can save them if your a careful capt. Good game for those who grind to prepare for harder challenges type thing. Food/gold usage index should be added.

A mix of everything Kairosoft. Character progress is very similar to Dungeon Village. The boat fells like the one in World Cruise Story. There is a bit of town improvement too and a bit of monster training. You need to be very patient though. This is an offline version of a free game with IAPs, so the pace is quite slow. As it happens in general with Kairosoft, the bosses are too hard compared to the previous gameplay. For some reason, enemies with shields in this game are very OP.

I want to give this a better score... but the medal system is downright atrocious. It is clearly a game that was supposed to be FTP. You need medals for everything, and they are extremely rare, almost like they were meant to be purchased..... In late game some recruits take over 10 medals!!! Can you farm them? No, not really. That combined with stamina costs, lead me to believe that this is just a failed microtransaction game they are now charging money for with no balancing.

Nope, I'm not going to play this. Very disappointing, I played Dungeon Village previously and I liked it so much, so I wanted to try something else from Kairosoft, but all these timers and "log in everyday" to recieve medals, it's a garbage. Ok, I didn't pay for this game, thankfully, I'm using playpass, but it's one of the worst games I've seen on playpass.
