A really clean and well featured email client. It has just about any customization that I could expect except for one... The only thing keeping this from being my daily driver is being limited to every 15 minutes syncs rather than up to the minute notifications. As an IT support professional, I can't be waiting 15 minutes to know certain level tickets came in. I'll continue to keep this on my device for testing, but it can't be my go-to until it is more responsive.

wording for my original review seems a bit harsh. the app is one of the top email apps out. I just have a small issue with the UI. app is really great, been using it and/or k9 mail for a couple years now. however from the beginning the contrast between read and unread messages in dark mode has been horrible! I can't tell the difference unless I really look for it. fix that and this app would be well worth 5 stars Edited

Just switched to using this full-time as my old tried & trusted app has lost support. Generally OK, but some major UI issues: 1. In the message list, there is no indication if the item is a single message or a thread. You have to open it to find out - terrible. 2. It doesn't support folder hierarchy, AFAICS. I have a deep hierarchy of hundreds of folders, but all I'm offered is a flat list with "/" embedded in the names. This is not helpful. K9 has been around for ages, should be better by now.

Thanks for the feedback, and if you go to Settings > Display, you can turn on Threaded view. We are prioritizing improvements to folder organization for this year, so look for changes coming on that front. Thanks for your patient and we hope you stick with us, and maybe even help test new features in the beta!

Third review, more revisions. This is like when the user interface completely changed for the worse, only worse. While I was trying to delete some emails, it deleted everything back to May or June, depending on the account. Can't find them anywhere, for any account. Tried to report via group I was invited to join, says I'm not a member. I've had it. I liked it so much, but it has been broken twice. First just annoying, second cost me a lot of emails. Okay, found some of them in spam. Not all. Edited

Sorry for any confusion with the previous review! When you go to thunderbird.topicbox.com, you'll need to register for the Android Beta mailing list. But once you do this you can post in it! We hope you can join, as we'd definitely like to do more detailed troubleshooting to find out how those messages were deleted.

As mentioned won't port k-9 settings, but it auto-recognized the right configuration. Really easy. Only using for a few days, the big issue for me is visual. It's hard to see the difference between read and unread messages. Not enough contrast or difference. K-9 used line shading, easy to see. Sort of annoying to be wondering if I read a note or not. Also when reading an individual message, I need larger font. Sometimes the message won't render right. Can't recall that happening with k9.
