One star. That's generous. Securly Pass is a constant source of frustration. It constantly blocks legitimate websites, making online research and even basic tasks nearly impossible. The app itself is clunky and slow, significantly impacting my device's performance. And don't even get me started on the constant login issues. It's a disruptive and invasive experience that hinders productivity far more than it protects. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The idea is ok but the execution is absolutely horrendous. It relies on a couple of things. First, it relies on the fact that all students have a cell phone. Second, it assumes that all students have Internet. My school Internet is pretty bad, so the app keeps loading and buffering if I use the school wifi. There are also some parts of my school where there is no data, so I can't even use it. Also, it takes 10 minutes to do something which previously took a couple of seconds.Teacher has to stop.

The app won't even open. I want to be able to use it on my phone so I'm not always tethered to my computer for accepting and ending passes. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled it twice. When I try to open it, it immediately closes. Why have an app if it doesn't work??? Very disappointed. I have a pixel 8. Is that the problem? Is the app not up to date with new tech? Edited

Teacher here: Ever since e-hallpass changed their interface last spring (which is now garbage in itself), I've also been getting server errors, and I have to hit refresh after each button click for my clicks to take. It also doesn't push live updates anymore, and the notification bell stopped ringing when a pass request comes in. It seems like they hired some bozo developers who broke it, instead of improving it. Performance gets worse every week. Recommending a new product/method to admin.

This experience is HORRIBLE. Let's say I wanted to go to the bathroom. I open up the app, and it signs me out every time. I sign in with Google, and it brings me to the website instead of the app. That only happens around 45% of the time. Other times it will just bring me back to the login screen on the app and I have to wait a while minute just to let it sign me in. The buttons are clunky and it doesn't update regularly. WHENEVER you push a button, you have to reload. You've been warned.
