I've never left a review on the play store before, but I'm so annoyed that I'm going out of my way to do so now, in the hopes that this review may somehow lead to an improvement to this app. There aren't enough characters to fully explain the issue, but swiping left causes an extremely egregious sidebar to pop out of the right side of the screen. This "feature" can't be disabled and leads to an infuriating reading experience. I'll just stick to the web browser, I guess.

Love the app! Honestly, I probably am using Wikipedia more than my web browser or reading articles from Google. Only one small issue I found: when in dark mode, the captions under images is a dark gray instead of the white like the rest of the article text. This makes it virtually impossible to see. Doesn't matter what article, if there's an in-line image, there's a barely readable, gray caption underneath if.

Pretty perfect app, haven't ran into any issues using it so far on most devices, iOS and iPad OS included. However, on our Pixel 8a, tapping on pictures will display said picture with a dark tint to it, and that seemingly can't be prevented or rectified. Not sure if it's a bug solely affecting me, and it is annoying, but not something that ruins our experience using this. Hopefully it can get fixed if it's a replicable bug! (Or that I can fix it myself if it's something on our end, somehow)

It has little to no bugs, it is also user friendly, and most importantly it does what it's supposed to do, which is displaying Wikipedia pages (and it doesn't just slightly modify the HTML like other apps do making you feel like you're just using a browser - mind you some apps do that poorly as well). It ACTUALLY displays the articles, and they look great as well. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Looks good. But there is no search any longer? You can search in page but not Wikipedia itself. update: Thanks the fast reply. I saw the text to search but when I touched close to the W the side menu opened up. It is hard to see the cursor flashing right next to "search Wikipedia" it would be easier 2c if there was a magnifying glassglass or the text disappeared leaving just a flashing cursor.
