I appreciate the author for making it, but the app is persistent and there is no way I've found to trully close it. It also requests access to your phones files which seems odd since the app is mostly a timer. It could just be nonstop reading files on your phone for all I can tell. There is no "back" button so once you start a workout, your stuck in it. I think force closing the app gets you back to the start, but the app still has a persistent notification. Edited

Hello Jeff,
Access to files is needed to save training files (you can create as many as you want in the settings). About persistent notification - when on a training you need to go back to the main screen. I suppose you do not have separate back button on the phone and the artificial one is not showing. Please write to me at

Request: I would like to see more customization, especially in font size. While i am hanging and my phone is on the floor i cannot read the timer. I would love to have larger font on the timers! Overall the app has worked very well and i love being able to customise training plans with the specific holds on my hangboard.

The app has everything it needs for a nice hangboard workout. Also, it is great that you can just leave on some music on the background. Suggestion: Extend the app with other types and brands of hangboards. E.g. it would be great if I could also use this app in my local gym where they have the beastmaker 1000 and 2000.

Great app, does exactly what it says it does and well. And good coverage of boards. Its 1.50 if you wanna use another board the price is so low I'll be buying for the beastmaker when the gyms reopen. Glad these guys cover less popular older boards like the metolius. Also like the fact that you can add others workouts, would be good to see more of these choices? Maybe ask a reddit community or something? Also would be good to see grades of workouts v5 6c etc. But all in all Top work dudes!

I love it so far. Once I use the custom features I will know how easy or difficult they are and revisit this. I dig the voice commands and workout provided(entry level for now) and feel confident in the benefits provided. Great app, dont need to be able to see your phone constantly to follow. Thanks! Edited
