I used Pulse because it was simple with no frills. Now, was forced to upgrade even though I had no issues with the original. New version adds unnecessary clutter that can't be turned off. Editing to add: Even worse. Now I'm getting a daily prompt to upgrade to a paid $100 version of this app to add features I don't want. This app is worthless now. I have uninstalled and moved on. Removed a star because the app got more expensive for really no extra benefit to the people who use it. The original creator sold this to maple media and they increased the prices quite a bit. Still a great app, but cannot in good conscious keep the 5th star. edit: went down another star. I don't like the practice of increasing cost and showing a discount back down to the original cost to 'fake' a deal. On top of this the popup to upgrade has increased dramatically over the last few months. Edited

One thing that I wished you would NOT HAVE DONE IS THIS: I wished that you would not have put any ads on this message app! I really thought that it was better for it to not have ads the moment I enjoyed it in the past! I was enjoying the beautiful colors on it and now I am forced to pay for them! No....my money will not be wasted on them! You keep popping up with another ad, having to do with Memorial Day for this month! NO I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT AND I DON'T CELEBRATE IT Edited

the app repeatedly does not notify me of new text messages. I missed so many messages because notifications don't come through. this is not an issue with my phone as I don't have the same problem with the native app. I even tried "upgrading" to the paid version and it did nothing to fix the problem. tech support was unhelpful the few times I tried to explain the problem. canceled and uninstalling.

I like this app, the custom features are a big plus. Just a few things like the icons don't stay as you put them, they revert to just a letter. Colors on conversations changes from one touch to another. All in all a good user friendly app. As of 02/24/25 I've dropped two stars. I had to uninstall the app and reinstall it, now with so many ads, its position is right under the text box and gets in the way of texting. No I don't want a subscription, I want the ads to go away or at least moved. Edited
