Will not connect...I even created a guest wireless network, made it 2.4 and short password. connected my phone to the network and the app still says no networks available when pairing. absolute junk. My friend who talked me into going with Masterbuilt has had his grill for years and said the app has never worked for him either. Love the grill/ smoker. The app is absolute trash.

I can't believe an app with a majority of 1-star reviews hasn't been fixed after all this time. When it decides to work, it works fine, but I've had different connection issues over the last ~year I've owned the smoker. Currently, the main screens says my smoker is "connected", but when I launch into it, it tells me to "Press power on your device to activate the remote" and then it just hangs there. Pressing the power button does nothing, so the app is effectively worthless. Frustrating. Edited

Trick to connect, short name and password, really? Needs some Alerts built in. The app should let you know if your temperature drops more than 10 degrees below the set temperature. Also, would be great if you could zoom in on areas of the graph. it's gotten worse. I get notifications, but it won't connect to the grill. It took forever when I had to reinstall due to a new phone. Hoping someday they hire a company THAT CAN FIX THE APP.AMD CONNECTIVITY!!! Since they just make good smokers but Edited

EDIT: 6/20/2025. App is still garbage. App is garbage. When I upgraded to an S24 Ultra from an S21 Ultra, it never connected again. I opened a ticket with Masterbuilt and went through all of the troubleshooting. That's when they informed me it's something wrong with the app, and they will let me know when an update is available to try again. After that, they ghosted me. If it wasn't out of the return period, I would have returned the grill and went with a different brand. Edited
