Super pointless app. As others have pointed out, this won't run in the background and scans need to be initiated manually. Even then, will only detect a tracker if it's been away from the owner for more than 15 mins. A much better option, that also scans for tiles, is Airguard. It is much smarter and will continuously scan and notify you of devives that have been picked up in more than 1 location. This actually indicates you are being tracked.

I think it is okay. It's generally useful that there is an air tag or other compatible tracking device near you but it doesn't say how far it is (distance or simply how close/far), signal strength, what direction it's in and what does it mean when you play it and no sound turns on or the sound stops. People have been removing the speakers from their tracking devices so it makes it harder for their victim to find them. So the sound feature becomes useless. There needs to be a better way!

Good to have this on Android platform. Appreciate being able to manually scan and it does not have to run in the background. It would be a better implementation to allow optional background running. For example, to automatically scan while you are traveling or stationary and not watching the screen. This could ease some of concerns, but still satisfy both methods of scanning. This would also allow more frequent scans over a longer period to find 15 minutes away from the offenders.

I scanned for my parents' air tags on their dogs, which were laying within 10 feet awa and it only detected one of them. After scanning again to find the second one, none were found, and after many repeated attempts, I finally found it again. When I finally found one again, I had to wait 10 MINUTES to play a sound from it, and when the 10 minutes passed, the app said it couldn't find it. Neither I nor the dogs had moved the whole time. My phone has no issues with Bluetooth.

Couple issues: Press the button to scan and it just starts scanning, never stops until you tell it to. There's nothing to indicate how long it *should* take to find a wayward tracker. Should it be instantaneous if it needs the criteria? Who knows? Maybe they ping Bluetooth every 30s. A minute. You don't know. As most have noted there isn't any background scanning. That would chew through battery and may not be doable with Droid using a third party app, but it's still a big limitation.
