Just got HEY today. Interface is awesome and I'm loving all of the features. I'm having trouble figuring out the "Clip" feature. It says just highlight text but nothing happens on the Android app or desktop. When I try to right-click on desktop it doesn't do anything besides the normal context menu also.

Hi, thank you for your kind words! When you highlight text in an email (might not work in our "training emails") you will see a button in the lower part of the screen that says "Clip". If you tap this it will save that text in the Clips section accessible by tapping your picture. Need more help: [email protected]

Potential as my main email app. For now, I communicate with vendors and service providers on it just in case they share my email info. As a legacy ESP user, hey's UI isn't intuitive yet for me. But I sprinted thru the onboarding tutorial (as users do) and do not live in the app. My notes: Renewal date and renewal subscription costs should more readily available just in case a user needs to make a churn decision. It's a beautiful app, though w/ good cx.

Love the idea, but it needs some UI/flow tweaks before I'm convinced it's worth the price. When screening new senders there needs to be a way to directly specify where all their emails should go (Imbox, The Feed, Paper Trail, plus labels). Don't get me wrong, I love that configuring these filters is actually available on the App, unlike Gmail! The Feed needs a quick way to swipe away/trash items you've read. Select, ..., Trash is not efficient. Not a huge fan of things hidden behind the "hand". Edited

John, thanks for your honest review. Once you get past "training" you will see "arrows" in The Screener that will allow you to move emails to the different boxes. HEY — especially on Android — will keep getting better. This is just the start. Thanks for giving us a try. If you have any questions, please let us know: [email protected]

This app incorporates a lot of great ideas to improve email. However there are a few features it lacks which make it difficult to use as a primary client (send from, imap, snooze, send later, filter rules, etc). Merging threads also works poorly (app hangs). And I wish the Feed were more of a full featured RSS reader with the ability to show read/unread, individual sender, grouped senders / label.

Beautifully designed app with a ton of innovative ideas. My two critiques so far are 1) I want a quick way to delete things from the feed and 2) i want a quicker way to jump between the Inbox/Feed/Paper trail. For #1 I understand the sentiment of it feeling like a linked in feed, but I when I'm done with things I want them gone. Maybe I'll mentally adjust :-) For #2 I just think it's a bit cumbersome to have several taps to get to a 2 factor email.
