I couldn't get into this one. The style doesn't really flow. The em dash abuse doesn't help, but it wasn't the dealbreaker. It just seems like something I would have written when I was 13 but with more pandering and HR dialogue. The second star in my review is because I think the author was really trying. I'm inconsistent and give points out for such things. Edited

nice story. Don't like the Monarch is gender fluid because it means you can't do a lesbian route especially if you say you romance women and the Monarch ends up being male. Change this fact and you will get higher stars. Edited

Fun! Loved the worldbuilding and how it came out in little details. The writing was great, and I found all the character dialogue engaging. There were some hiccups in the game, such as dialogue saying the merchants disliked me in one chapter when I clearly had a higher affinity with them, before reverting to where it should be again. Despite a great build-up, I also felt like the ending was a bit too rushed and lacked more emotional impact. would def play again, though, & don't regret buying!
