Works great when it works, but there have been times where I set the pickup time for after class is over, but get the notification much earlier, so the 15 minute window is already up, and there's been other times where it won't change the status to ready for pickup so it's stuck in the cubby, and it never being picked up in the first place, so I have to go up to the counter to ask for the bag and other times the app just gets stuck on a grey screen and won't let me do anything. It's frustrating. Edited

In order to make the app work, I had to uninstall it, restart my phone, reinstall the app, and be very careful to not pay with Google wallet, which is the default, but to add an additional credit card. In addition, the app apparently will not work if you are on Wi-Fi, and only works if you are on a cell network. In order to validate this, I need to make a purchase at a local venue which I'm never going to be able to pick up. It's amazing that in 2024 an app this simple can work this poorly.

Hi thanks for the review and we apologize for the gpay issue! We have a new version out v8.19.1 to address new issues with GPay. Hoping the update allows you to transact with GPay again! The wifi / connectivity issue may be a network problem on your campus, but we can investigate if you wouldn't creating a support ticket in-app w more info!

Update2: even worse! There's a block forcing you to update the app, but there's no update available Update: it's now even worse. App crashes on opening, won't let me past the email verification screen. This app is slow and unintuitive. Menu items are often incorrect or missing. The menu organization sucks. Payment works maybe 50% of the time. Loading the checkout page takes upwards of 10 seconds. The support team is hopeless. Oh and it's Compass so the food you get in the end is overpriced. Edited

I love Boost and it's honestly a good way to order food on campus. I've had issues with the app glitching though. Occasionally the app will let me go though the entire ordering process but then not let me send the order in. When I first downloaded the app, my food card didn't work, but I uninstalled and redownloaded it and it worked. The last thing it has an issue with is updating pick up times/payment options after you choose one. I often have to close and reopen the app for it to work.

I have had some orders where the restaurant tells me that they didn't receive my order at all. Very inconvenient to have to wait after that when supposedly it's "ready for pickup". Even more annoying is the fact that this app just opens automatically sometimes when I'm doing COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS! Sometimes, I'll simply unlock my phone (when I haven't even used boost for days) and I will see the Boost splash screen. Why on Earth is it loading up the app for no reason?! Feels very intrusive
