Similar as a review from 12/9/24, when we try and cast from our Samsung phones (different models) to our Chromecast with Google TV, the playback will stop at the end of a track. The progress bar will appear as if it's trying to move on but never does. For a workaround until this is fixed, use the Samsung Smart View function. There is a "Labs" option to now allow screensharing with a Chromecast device. This way, doubleTwist Pro doesn't realize it's casting. Be sure to plug into power though.

Thank you for the quick response. I checked, and phone was not selected in the permissions. I fixed that and now the Bluetooth autoplay turns on! Perfect again!! The one remaining problem after the update is that the Bluetooth autoplay will not toggle on. This is particularly annoying when you get in the car and you have to dig around for the phone in order to get the music on. Why ? Other than that, I have no complaints. Edited

Is nothing happening when you tap the Bluetooth Autoplay option in doubleTwist settings (the toggle remains off)? If so, could you go to Android settings -> Apps -> doubleTwist -> Permissions and make sure the following permissions are allowed: Bluetooth/Nearby devices and Phone (the names might differ slightly depending on your Android version).

The instructions were not at all user-friendly, so I'm taking off a star for that. Took awhile to figure out how to pair the desktop and phone, and to sync my music and playlists. But it appears that everything synced successfully (whew!). BTW, I'm a former user of that other sync app; so far, I like DoubleTwist much better.

Love the graphics in this app. Has a lot of cool features. Seems to crash on a regular basis. After the crash, it can't find songs in the library and loses all the artwork. Have to uninstall and reinstall to fix this glitch. Very annoying. When it works properly, I'm very satisfied with what it has to offer.

An average music player, which plays fine (but do so all players). Where it's very ordinary or even below average is in its library functionality. I purchased it to work with Android Auto, but it has limited search capabilities, that force you to use folder organization (no Album Artist attribute read in the tags). Also ignores Embedded Album Art in what seems to be random fashion (some purchased from Amazon, most ripped and tagged manually with dBpoweramp). That's fairly lame if you have a large music library. It should borrow the library organization scheme from JRiver or iTunes. Then again, I've yet to find an Android music app that does, and I've tried dozens. Edited
