The app works very well for controls while using the speaker. The only constant issue I'm having is that when I go to connect to it from standby it says it can't connect even though it still does. This happens every time I wake up the speaker from standby mode using the app.

I love this Party Box by JBL !!! It sounds really good . I like it not only for the sound but for how portable it is. The bass enhancement feature is great with two settings. Plus, the Party Box app has an EQ . The EQ is only a three band, but it's better than not having one. On top of that, it's a bit water resistant. I wouldn't toss it in a lake, but it's great for a boat. The only downside is it's a bit pricey at $299.99 @ T-Mobile. I recommend it 100%

Best bluetooth speaker I've ever owned! doubles as my portable guitar amplifier and karaoke machine. I take it to every race I go to and it's always an instant party when it comes on. The app is an amazing addition. Definitely not a professional DJ tool, but adds another level of fun and control to the music.

Overall, it's a great device. It needs a little more flexibility in the EQ in the app, a bit more range. For it's size it really kicks!!! It's plenty loud without distortion. Really tight, deep bass or very punchy and super tight. I really like it. You can use 2 of these and a laptop and DJ a small party very well.

When opening the app to configure the equalizer on my JBL Partybox 310, the equalizer doesn't show up at all. I have to close the app and reopen it. Another issue is even when conected to the speaker via BT the app shows its connected to an "Uknown Source". It also doesn't show up in my devices power level widget. The speaker itself is a 10/10. The app is not.
