Not very intuitive, rather than simply opening the app, I have to go into settings page to turn on the picker. The picking circle is very good, allowing you to zoom in on detail. But saving colors is done by tapping outside the circle - L bottom / R top. Seems odd as I would thought tapping the color square within the circle would be more obvious. The main problem is it only seems to save colors until you switch it off, then they're all gone! Ok for quick pick, but needs a save palette function.

Hi, you can simply launch the app to show the circle overlay. You don't have to use the Quick Settings Tile if that doesn't suit you. Tapping on the middle of the circle would be bad UX because people tap on the circle to move it or refresh after background changes (e.g. scrolling content). Thank you for your feedback.

Terrific app. Pinch & zoom to enable pixel level precision. Go back to the app & it shows you three different palettes: - a time-based running pallette that shows union of colors encompassed by the picker over the last few periods before you stopped moving the picker–the colors that the PICKER currently contains–the colors that comprise the SCREEN from which you had picked colors.Issue: to unhide app after picking go to notification. Thank you for your review. As an alternative for hiding the app, you could use the Quick Settings Tile. Might be a little bit more convenient than the notification action. UPDATE: Yes it's not perfect, but I trust you appreciate that the Quick Settings Tile is a slight improvement 🙂 Edit: thanks!

Dunno what the latest update fixed but app works fine, as it always has. My only wish for improvement is the ability to shrink the picker size or change its shape. The current large circle makes it impossible to sample at edge of screen.

I like the color picker part of this but i wish the coordinates were actually accurate to the real coordinates on my screen. They are misaligned or they think i have a different aspect ratio.

Everytime I open it it requires disabling battery optimization so that it can run in the background. I don't want it running in the background. I only want it running when I need to use it. It is unusable with battery optimization. Why is that so many developers seem to think that we want their apps to always be running in the background? Edited

Hi Greg. When Pixolor is running, it's considered a background app by Android. Developers have a choice to make: 1. Allow users to have battery optimization, but then the app won't work thanks to the device's aggressive memory management, or 2. Force users to disable battery optimization so that the app will work.
