I started with the lite version(no longer exists?) and I find pro to be even more helpful. No subs but there are one time payments for extentions if you want them. The main thing I use the app for is to quickly draw characters I don't know. It has been pretty consistent with most things and even with my awful handwriting can usually guess what it was I wanted to draw.

Excellent. Allows you to focus on the "word" not the interface . Aethetically pleasing, best character draw recognition module. Connects to other web resources , Ankidroid's SR learning. Widgets for tagging words and phrases. Colorful, idiomatic examples of words/phrases usage . Active improvements. Responsive developer. It's powerful because it's fluid and simple. A short, small tag name on the individual widget itself can be a good idea. A very productive Chinese learning tool. Edited

Great app, have used it for years. The add-ons are very helpful, especially the photo translation function. The handwriting recognition is great if you want to work out characters quickly. The ability to link in with Ankidroid flashcards works really well and allows you to easily and quickly review characters. Really good support from the developer as well if needed. Edited

This app AND it's extensions are EASILY THE BEST CHINESE LEARNING RESOURCE YOU CAN USE!!! The ease of use and options that it offers FAR surpass even Pleco. I can't even begin to describe what an incredible resource this Dictionary is. The On Screen Chinese Translator extension where it provides the PINYIN as well as the Camera App Translator. It's just so incredibly good. The best part of the app in my opinion is actually the Export of Flashcards to Anki. I give it 10/5. Amazing work!!!

I have this on my Android phone and would LOVE to put it in my iPad but unfortunately it's not available on iOS, which is literally my only complaint. I am a huge fan of Chinese dramas and sometimes the available English translations are just awful. Hanping lets me write out an entire sentence in Chinese characters then translate. It doesn't translate the whole sentence but words and phrases, letting me figure out what's really being said. Love it!! Edit to add the support team is phenomenal. Edited
