The older app was much better. Too much screen space taken by extraneous controls. Makes it difficult to enjoy reading the newspaper content. Pop-up ads slow the access to content I've already paid for. If I want to finish the demise of newspapers, this is the app I would write!

I cannot cancel my subscription. No one answers the phone and this app wont allow me to stop service. Plus thry keep charging me $8+ every month for online access only, and i never agreed to more than $1.99/ month. This is a very crooked company!

e-edition and paying monthly before receiving a paper bill seem to each be dark patterns (have to call M-F during business hours like in 1985). I like the dead-man's switch that is paying a month at a time manually-- without the obfuscation of itemized charges not visible online. If the digital newspaper becomes a casualty of technology like the paper newspaper, that would not surprise me. Only keeping a subscription to read the e-edition on an e-ink tablet/reader (i.e. not Android).

Account management never works. Hard to pay a bill. Not a good experience so I will most likely cancel subscription just so I don't have to go through it any more.

This app simply does not work. I have a paid subscription I have signed into the app with my credentials and it does NOTHING!
