AS A Decades long NL subscriber, Exactly what I DIDN'T WANT, more ads, more scrolling, more damn click bait, more filters forcing their way into any attempt to get a broad view. Just another worthless cheap click bait distraction, rather than the digital newspaper I PAY DEARLY TO GET in timely fashion, unlike the printed edition now sent like a magazine whenever the hell the mail delivers it. This format may be fine for a limited "Free edition" teaser, but it's a damned insult to subscribers.

very poor news app - you cannot read a story, obituaries, etc without being stopped and requiring a subscription to continue reading. it is just a sales gimmick and not worth loading. like their newspaper- all blow and no go. i would give it a minus 6 star rating if possible, but I'll give it a 1. junk, junk, junk...

The biggest problem is the app does not allow users to sort the news feed. The news is displayed in order of popularity only. Edited

My news choices vary. The News-Leader Google app features all outlets to choose from. Just a great way to read, vividly watch and catch up with the weather. I use the app offline and enjoy with no cost. Good ads to enhance my activity locally. 🌐⛰️🎡🌇🎢 Keep up news and weather alerts.☀️🌧️🌪️🌅

It does not load photos at all in news stories & instead puts black blank screen. Only headlines are readable. Everything else is blank. Edited
