This app is buggy. Photos in albums appear in totally random order, there is no option to re-arrange by most recent first in some albums. It takes forever for albums to update/ photos to load. It seems like changes were made back in December that really destroyed the experience of using this app. Before then, it was seamless, and easily a 5+ star app. Now it is not even worth the one star I had to rate it.

Why was the annual view removed?? Photo back up is pretty good. Photo sharing has been improved to be a little easier to understand. Needs biometrics API support for archived and deleted pictures (similar to secure folder). Video playback is buggy. Also, slow motion editing and sharing both suck. If I trim or share a video I lose what I selected as slo-mo. Slo-mo playback during editing and review is jittery and unpredictable. Edited

insane design. I didn't want my photos backed up for a reason. because I don't want to have happen exactly what did when I accidentally hit the backup button it throws in front of you everytime you open it, no matter now many times you decline. It hijacks your photos on your device, then runs out of storage and cant use any apps. then you pay for more storage or delete them, only deleting them means losing them altogether. Predatory design. Lost some good memories. Completely unforgivable.

The new editor revamp is a game-changer. The potential is huge, but the intermittent updated UI access (I assume it's A/B testing) makes thorough testing almost impossible. I'm eager to help test, but that requires a more stably usable access point. Without better access to the upcoming UI, I really cannot comment on quality yet. Edited

used this app for years, and used to be great. now the old option to omit certain folders from uploading, doesn't exist. the new system is to move sensitive pics to the new locked folder. what they don't tell you is there is a huge glaring problem with it. when looking at locked pics it times out after viewing for a few minutes, and requiring you to re input your password. there is no option to turn this timeout feature off, or change the timing, defeating the "whole purpose" of everything.
