When it works, it is good. However, always seems to be a disconnect between my phone and my android auto cable connection. When it disconnects, have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to 'reset' until 30 seconds later, it does it again, and then again, and then again, and [my point exactly]. It continues disconnecting, even though the cord seems fine. Tried other cords too, they're worse than the original one. Is Android Auto aware of Bluetooth and connecting wirelessly?!

It's ok. The 2 main points that I have to agree with most people here is 1. I don't want Google maps showing up every time I connect to AA. it should be the home screen and the user can choose what they want to see. Google maps seems to be the only app that gets full screen. maybe I want my music full screen. 2. I get a Bluetooth disconnect constantly. but it reconnects? This is unstable and needs to be fixed.

Takes away A LOT of user control and input. Using Galaxy 23 Ultra, 2025 Tacoma. Turning off "auto-play music on startup" doesn't work. The option is off, but it still turns music on automatically. It defaults my phone's functions to the car's outdated version of Android. It will automatically turn my phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth back on, even when my phone is set as the controlling party. Palming my phone while driving is less distracting. Edited

It's great when it works. unfortunately after EVERY Android update with my P9 Pro, Android Auto has some serious audio skipping issues. Sometimes it's fixable but clearing the cache, but more often it's just luck of the draw and I have disconnect and reconnect multiple times. Honestly ridiculous. Also annoying is that the app will ask me for feedback, then freeze so none of the feedback options even work.

One step forward, two steps back--or so it seems. I've got the Pixel 9 Pro (upgraded from 8 Pro and 6 Pro before that). While the user experience has improved on the whole, Android Auto still feels largely incomplete. P9 Pro still gets hotter than it should, and data connection is still constantly unstable as a result. By now, I expect better. Music apps are frequently unresponsive and don't load media that I request or tap on from the display. Android Auto still needs some serious optimisation. Edited
