constantly drops uploads from gallery. sometimes one file makes it, sometimes half of them, sometimes none. completely unreliable, and I'm looking for a superior solution. shouldn't be hard to find. and my internet connection is fine, so don't bother. it's the app. edit: I have cleared the cache, I've cleared the data I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app. just selected 37 photos to upload, and 25 of them made it, so now I have to go figure out which ones because the app can't even find dupes. You can't find your files on the phone app nor computer You want people to pay for storage? I have almost no access to my files. Poor app design. Inefficient!I Just can't really rely on this app. Needs lots of improvement. It doesn't work. I will never consider paying for storage until I'm able to find my files easily. It has been some years from this review and it's still the same! it should be easy to access, no manual should be needed. your file to review can't be opened. Edited

It works. Desktop experience is certainly much better. Cannot upload/download files from mobile, uploading gets stuck waiting for wifi even with permission to use data, and I simply have no download button on mobile (it used to exist, bring it back!). Edit: gets stuck waiting for wifi even with permission to use data when I have a perfectly fine Internet connection Edited

Hi there. Please check your internet connection by doing a Google search for 'internet speed test' as connection may be poor. Keep us updated!

Drive will encode some of your videos for streaming, but it will not tell you which ones or how long the process will take. If you have a job that relies on clients being able to stream the videos you send them, do not go with Google. If you do, upload several copies of the same video and link to the one Google decides to actually encode. UPDATE: Over a year and Google Drive continues to have this problem. It's unacceptable that YouTube can encode videos effortlessly while Drive still cannot. Edited

Once u have no bytes, u r out of luck. U can't open your stored data. Yet if u dont arrange your settings, a lot of your data will b gobbled up by GMAIL. U can't do a thing; it's as if u are cornered to BUY MORE storage. So back up your data and be ready in case ur data is completely eliminated. Question? If i cancel my current storage plan, does this mean I can't use Google Photos at all? If so, then immediately eliminate the app, but CAUTION backup backup backup!!!

Hi, Vanessa! If your storage plan gets cancelled, everything in Google Drive, Google Photos, and Gmail will still be accessible, but you won't be able to create or add anything new over to the 15 GB storage limit. Here's the link to learn more: https://goo.gle/47qeA9D. Hope this helps.
