I'm not sure if Gboard is using Gemini for autocorrect or what, but recently it's been incredibly frustrating because it will change entire *correct* words when I'm typing. For example, I typed the sentence "I had to move my motorcycle with a flat tire" and it changed it to "I had to move my motor with a flat tire." It also LOVES changing "absolutely" to "also." This happens CONSTANTLY and it's annoying because I know the words I want to use! I'm using the correct words, please fix this! Edited

The update where you changed it so you have to rotate your phone to send a picture is very inconvenient. The original layout was completely fine. It's also difficult to navigate my photos now. I can't access my albums anymore without having to click into 5 different things (not an exaggeration). It's not the end of the world, but it does make the app less user-friendly to a degree that I'll probably switch back to my phone's default messaging app. Edited

UPDATE: Since my phone's recent update, I can no longer voice type. The microphone does not work. Previous review ..I'm lovin' this keyboard! I can text super fast now and it's really accurate. You can long press for the numbers on the numerical face of the keyboard but you can't long press for quotes comma's, etc., so that's why I'm deducting one star. You have to switch back and forth to get those. Seems like it would be easy enough for them to add that option. But I do love the app! Edited

absolutely garbage. This keyboard makes me look like an idiot, constantly autocorrecting things that are 1. not misspelled, and 2. correcting them to words that don't even make sense in the context of the sentence. for instance, before writing this review, I watched it change my statement "falling for it" (which I spelled correctly) to "talking for it". how the hell does that even make sense? I HATE this keyboard. it constantly does that, and often I don't catch it until it's already too late.

It's gotten so bad I've shut off spell check and word suggestions because the words suggested simply make no sense so much of the time. Complete nonsense suggested, or the wrong part of speech for the sentence being written is common. Gboard was never perfect, but it was really good....before AI started running Google, now it has increasingly become bad.
