I have always loved this app! It's easy to use on all my devices!(why I give 5 stars). I just wanted to point out the the app has a recent bug/error and won't play any movies I own even if their downloaded. When I click play, the app shuts down unexpectedly, and it says that it needs a bug fix update. Or when the movie's loading it says there was an error. I hope this will get fixed fast so I can get back to watching all my favorite movies! Just wanted to let you know about this.

I have been back and forth with Google support about the dumbest issue. When I use the Google TV app it suggests that I watch certain programs. Some of the programs it suggests it says are on Showtime. Showtime doesn't exist anymore. Paramount plus has taken over the Showtime content. When I click on one of those programs it takes me to the Showtime app which doesn't exist anymore. Fix it! Google. I suggest you clear your cache or do a factory reset on your servers. I have spent hours on this.

I use it with my Chromecast to watch YouTube on the TV. Works half the time. Seems like the more I use it, the less functional it is becoming. I use it from 3 different android phones. Sometimes one will work when the others won't. Loses connection right in the middle of a video. Recently has stopped showing the TV as a casting option. I like it when it works, but it could be way more consistently functional.

This app just isn't a priority for Google at all and it's getting worse every year. multiple times I've tried to rent a movie only for it to fail to play with some error code. trying to get a refund is a nightmare as well. when I rent something for a movie night I expect it to play at that time. The UI is pathetic, when looking through your library the header and footer take up half the page for no reason so you can only view one title at a time. It also has the most issues with Chromecast.

what the hell is the point of making the app if you cant even use it most of the time? almost every time i use it, it tells me to play something from my library to use playback controls. fair enough, i try to play something from my library and it cant even connect to the tv. its super helpful when it works since i misplace my actual remote quite often, but its honestly faster to just search for the remote than trying to get this irritating app to work 🙄😒
