So, I understand that many people are undergoing the same issue, but I would REALLY like a fix to this ongoing problem I've had since the last update. Whenever I open my messages app, I keep getting warnings that messages aren't going to work properly unless I update this app. Oddly, when I check there is no clear update available. It's aggravating because it sometimes prevents me from texting for certain periods of time, even when I have excellent Internet. Please resolve this irritating issue. Edited

Ever since I woke up today, my phone's been sending these notifications urging me to update Google play services, or else a handful of vital apps/services won't run! So, I go to Google play services on the Play store and uninstall it to reinstall it back to update! The notifications persisted despite me updating it. Second time! Errors showed up unable to install it back. At some point, the app did reinstall! But guess what? These notifications still show up as I'm typing this...

Funny how play store is showing the last update for this app was May 21st, 2024. However, it continues to update in the background without notification or explanation of what was in the update. I only knew because my AV scanned the update after it was installed. I also have auto update turned off on device and play store, as well as not one app has been granted permission to install from unknown sources. I don't trust any application anymore. They all lie to us about permission access&data.

Clearly there is an issue with this release because those using it claim the beta version "fixes" the connectivity issues. I lost connection a couple times and errantly blamed it on a "no phone zone"...not the case! Imagine your life was on the line and you couldn't call for help because of this bug? With how much importance we place on our cell phones, you'd think this would be a high priority fix. PS - Don't bother emailing the address listed on here. They stopped monitoring it. Edited

THIS APP STINKS! I don't think it's even necessary. I (stupidly) updated this app last week and immediately apps stopped working or opening at all. I received pop-up messages that said "Unfortunately," *blank* has stopped." It seemed like a virus was attacking my phone as apps crashed one after another. Text messaging, Gmail, shopping, sports, etc. apps stopped opening one by one. I was so upset. I uninstalled the update but it still left the junk behind that created the problem to begin with.
