The "new" app for this game is basically just an extension to the web version, which I could've already played in my phones browser. At least add a portrait mode so I can play one handed! I'll be playing grepolis classic and then will probably quit when that is discontinued. Other than that, it's a good game. Has the usual pay to win experience in some ways, but also gives you a way to earn in game currency without buying it which is nice.

This is a PAY to WIN type of game. Buying gold coins (with real world currency) gives your units attack and defense boosts through the "advisors" system. Furthermore, while the game says you can earn gold by trading resources in-game, demand for gold is rarely available, and whenever it is available, you are bombarded with annoying capchas that takes up to a minute to clear - usually by then, the demand for whatever resources you were trying to sell is gone. The game is pay-to-win by deception.

In the old app you were able to go from one city to the other depending on what city had the most population, which was super helpful. In this app you can organize them also in matter of population, but when you try going to the next city it takes you to the next city in alphabetical order, rather than population. So you have to open the city list again, find the next city in population order, and select it. What used to take one click in the old app now takes over 10 clicks. Please fix. Thank y Edited

Just tried using the new and updated app and it's absolutely miserable. Landscape mode instead of portrait so now I can't use it one-handed everything it became much smaller and it keeps asking me to rate the app. It won't let me write it I had to come through another channel to do it but the pop-up keeps coming up and I can't even play because all it wants me to do is rate the app and then tells me I can't. This needs to be fixed immediately. Also, once I'm signed in KEEP ME SIGNED IN! Edited

We appreciate the feedback we're receiving from players about our new app and our developers are hard at work on some improvements that will be made based on this gathered feedback. Improving the layout of the icons and menus are one such planned improvement so as to make it easier to navigate this new app.

Great game. Stopped playing a few years back due to its addictive nature and sadly lots of cheating, although after returning I have noticed the admin has clamped down on the cheats. It is free to play the game and there are no adverts, although for the price of a cup of coffee a day your experience is greatly improved. For first time players it is highly recommended to spend a few hours studying the guides on how best to play, and to not be too concerned about losing initially.
