I've used them for years, had premium, had to switch to free during covid. Went to go back to premium and can't pay monthly anymore $2.99/mo..and monthly costs way more. Pretty rotten thing to do..nobody cares anymore about people who are financially struggling but still deserve protection. All the stuff they tout mostly needs premium subscription 😡 Lots of negative reviews now so I'm not bothering to upgrade. I'm pissed I can't pay by month, I can't afford it. It was better being Lookout. Edited

when the app auto updates for latest threats, it begins to scan apps in the background, by itself. without giving me a notification. thus, my battery drains and I don't know why. It takes me time to find out its due to that. if you guys could at least give some sort of heads up, in the form of a notification, or something before it scans my entire phone silently?..

Dropping from 5 stars to 1 stars. I'm not sure if it's the app itself or my phone. More times than not it disappears from the notification area on my phone. Then I have to go into the app... sometimes several times just to get it to show up again in the notification area. Please get this fixed if it's the app itself. I've already been in contact with F-secure via emails and have tried everything they suggested and the problem still exists! I know I emailed them last and they have yet to answer! Edited

App gets the job done, mostly. Easy to navigate and use UI. There's only one annoying issue, and it's a big one: Following their acquisition and rebranding, the VPN works great at home, on MY network. This is where it's least needed. Outside my home network (on MY mobile network and external WiFi networks), most sites and streams fail to load/work. If they do load, I could clock them with a calendar. And this is with a pricey subscription. Fail for the VPN in my UX. Edited

I've been using lookout on my devices for 2 decades. Whenever I wanted to be sure I could open it up and do a scan. Now, for the past month, it is almost always unusable. When I open it up, the page that pitches the paid version obscures the functional page, so I can't run a scan. I guess they think annoying me is the way to make a sale. In the past, I have considered paying. Now; NEVER.
