I don't see much of difference between the regular one. it's basically the same thing instead of the part where you can "Create a band". although I once got on it to check some missed messages, and it automatically poped up that I was "too old" to be using it. and I couldn't even get to anywhere! it's honestly so pathetic! I can only enter a post if I click on the notification and if I exit the post it says the same exact thing again! and I have to go to the adult version which. I dislike it.

Hi Willa, We aim to create a safe environment on both the BAND app and the BAND for Kids app. On the BAND app, minors are not able to search for or join public groups, and we do not display any ads to underage users. Creating a secure and supportive space for all users, especially younger ones, is a top priority for us.

It will not let me create an account. I've used an email and phone number, but it will not send me a verification code on either. It takes the 50cents, tells me I'm all good to continue, but won't send me a verification code to continue. I'm very confused... and frustrated.

It should be known that your children will have access to YouTube through this app. I don't find YouTube to be All Ages appropriate. Edit: For clarity I have the YouTube app blocked as well as any browsers on my child's device. However when looking at a shared YouTube post on this app the player can be used to search YouTube. We understand your concern and want to clarify that our app is not affiliated with YouTube in any way. If users are accessing YouTube content through links or shared posts, that content is coming from external sources and not something we control or host. We always encourage parents and group leaders to monitor shared content.

I wasn't comfortable putting my credit card info in to begin with, but my child's teacher insisted we use the app, so I did.Now the app is saying the account doesn't exist and even if they fix it and give him the account, I'm not okay with it, because there are plenty on communication apps my children use for school that don't require me to pay a damn thing or give out my credit card information, which leads me to believe that other ways to verify to the satisfaction of the federal law.

While the app itself is great, after you reach the age it deems not a child, it will display a pop up, and eventually not allow you to access your bands until you download the band app.
