beware. I had a great experience but things seem to be changing. I booked a spot in Manhattan. I arrived and the garage was full and would not honor the reservation. I was told to contact the app. I made a second reservation but directions took me to the first one and wasted time. I had to get to my appointment so found a garage. all total for 2 hours of parking cost $135 dollars!! I tried contacting spot hero - no response. so basically there's no guarantee that you get a parking spot.

I do a lot of conventions and live entertainment, and some cities are a nightmare to drive and park in. This app saved me so much headache in trying to find parking, and it saved me money because I only had to pay $83 for a weekend in a garage instead of $50 a night for hotel parking. Definitely keeping this one.

I used this app on quite a few times and always found great deals that are much cheaper than the regular parking rates. Never had a problem using the parking pass at the garages. On a recent occasion I had a problem with the parking lot being closed on arrival. SpotHero support was very helpful. They refunded my purchase and credited me the difference for the higher rate that I paid at the airport.

Total rip off does not work. I paid in advance for parking in Boston common. When attempting to enter the garage, the system would not accept the scan saying that I was not registered. I attempted several times to rescan, hit the call button and got no response, and with a line of cars behind me had to pay with a regular ticket. Contacted their customer support, and received nothing but questions about whether I did it right. One would think they would know it was never used and refund the money

Convenient BUT... Double-check the area you're traveling to before you book. I ended up with parking on a closed road because the app doesn't know about road closures. Customer service was helpful, but the experience was still pretty stressful. Some spots are also very difficult to navigate to. Check your directions to make sure the lot is open and easy to find.
