love this app and am using it for so many purposes. to mark my favourite camping spots, to remember where I parked the car, to check and time my park runs, measure the speed of trains... just a great app for locations geeks like me.

As someone who has worked in spatial industries for over 20 years and previously as a software engineer as well as an outdoorsman, I greatly appreciate this app and the effort that has gone into it! Would you consider adding geoid model support in addition to what the inbuilt receiver provides, such as AUSGEOID for use in Australia? Edited

The app is already using the EGM96 geoid model to correct GPS altitudes.

Very useful app. Only issue I have is that goto waypoint screen is dark black and showing distance numbers are very small. It's very hard to read in sunny day.

Both are configurable. Untick the second option under the Goto section of the preferences page to use a white background, and increase the text size under the General section of the preferences page to show larger text.

I've had the app for a while. I got a new phone and transferred my apps. Handy gps wouldn't continue to record when the phone was turned off so I un-installed the re-installed now I can't get my account back. How do I get my account back?

To record tracklog when the phone screen is off, you need to turn off battery optimisation and allow the app to always use GPS. There is no Handy GPS account - all data is stored on the phone. Unfortunately uninstalling the app deletes this.

it's a very good app, but as a surveyor, I would would recommend you to include many other local positioning datum Coz instead of editing costum datum, it is better to have already.

Thanks. That could be something to add in the future, but for now we have another app called Coordinate Master which has a large built in list of coordinate systems.
