This app is great, it has worked solidly for the past several years with the Sc and the Theta X with only the odd disconnect. The UI is clear and useful with everything needed to control the camera. Why Ricoh wants to close it down and switch everyone to a broken app is beyond me and makes no logical sense. Keep this all alive as there are so many people that still use it on a daily basis.

Needs improvement. * It's not multitasking. * The transfer rate of the files via WiFi is very slow. (I would like to be connected to the internet on my phone while passing files from the camera) * You can not use other applications while you delay transfer the files. * You can not transfer more than one file simultaneously.

Works well. A little hard to sync up at first. For my Note 9, I had to turn off the mobile data, which is just the opposite of the directions. I finally got so frustrated, I took the camera and phone to Ubreakit-wefixit store and for $25 they figured it out for me since I didn't have the patience. After that, happy. Actually i wasn't expecting to have as much fun with as I have. Now I wish i would have gone for the theta z instead of the theta v. I think the $600 would have been worth it.

This app is absolute trash. For a proprietary software and hardware device it should have a much more stable connection. Every single time I use it there are issues connecting. It would be great if you could just pull it out and snap a 360 image on a tripod, but I spend more time trying to get it to work than anything. I really hope they fix it because this would be a great device. Edited

Garbage. Fought it for well over half an hour to get it to connect to my Theta SC2 with no success. The camera registered a connection, as did my phone, but the app failed to do the same. Couldn't see live view, update the firmware, nothing. Gonna switch to something that doesn't rely on a mobile app for literally every function.
