The app itself works pretty well, though I still get some notifications I turned off. So why the 2 stars? My free trial of Remote Connect ended. I'll pay for it, it's convenient. But I can't. I HAVE TO pay twice as much for a bundle of Remote Connect and something else I don't want. So instead of Toyota getting me to pay 100 bucks a year for something I actually want, I'm going to buy a 30 dollar airtag and just live without the other features. Dumb.

I rarely post bad reviews but I am VERY frustrated! I have a 2020 Tacoma and the app works well (simpler times back then, I guess). We bought a 2025 Rav4 and man, what a mess! The app rarely connects via Bluetooth automatically, and 50/50 when connecting phone with USB. Having to go into the settings and select a phone is ridiculous!

This app is by far the worst product ever made by Toyota. Can't believe there is a worse app than Volvo, but Toyota takes the top spot. It's that bad. Sometimes it decides not to work at all. Navigation is clunky and needs to be modernized and the recent updates somehow made it WORSE But beyond that it's constantly crashing (Android) and services are frequently missing or buggy. And you have to pay for basic features. Start over. Edited

This is actually the worst app I've ever used. Constantly runs in the background doing who knows what. Doesn't update any of the information, such as distance to empty. Doesn't let you remote start even if all the doors are locked, it forces you to re-lock to remote start. Why are you even charging a subscription for remote start? I paid almost $70k for a Tacoma only to be gouged more. Edited

Subscription fee to be able to start/stop your vehicle, or lock/unlock your vehicle, and that's basically it. 2025 Tundra doesn't let you adjust HVAC, windows, seating heat/cool, nothing. On top of that, more of a Tundra complaint, you can leave the blower on, but are unable to have the A/C option stay on or have the defroster stay on, you have to be in the vehicle to manually turn that on. Also starts up the entertainment, which is wireless, so it'll just play music/podcast to no one. GARBAGE
