Heaven help you if you forget any one of the three different passwords required to manage a TP network. There's a router, Tether, and Wi-Fi password and for the life of me can't understand why the router needs a password when using Tether. Access to the network is already provided at that point so it acts like a system filled with credential walls because they didn't know how to manage access.

App was working fine, now nothing but problems since latest update. Constantly getting message that app can't connect to device. Message comes up to move closer to router when I'm sitting right next to it. Sometimes in the middle of making updates via parental controls, when I hit save it throws the "can't connect to device" error message. I see others reporting the same problem. PLEASE FIX THIS BUG! PC assigned to parental controls will randomly have upload/download rates stopped for no reason

TP-Link IMO offers the best services for advanced home networking and security and this app is up to that standard. The UI is easy to navigate, even the free version of parental controls offers enough protection to keep the trolls and nonsense away from my little ones. This is definitely a "must have" for basic network management.

The Homeshield parental controls turn themselves off and / or disassociate from the device you're trying to control. I've emailed their tech support 6 or 7 times and they have offered nothing helpful. I'll have to spend more $ on some other ideas / solution. update 7/9/25 - app seems to have updated itself... now throwing ads at me before doing anything else. Used to work somewhat, now doesn't hardly work at all. It connects, lets me see the list of connected client devices, then throws an error Edited

The app is amazing except for one problem that ive noticed. If i try and log in too fast using my password the app will register my password as being "incorrect". when the device populates at the opening screen i have to wait for what appears to be a glitch to as where the display of the device will "blink" then it will allow me to log in using my password, then register as it being the correct password. This needs to be fixed. Other than that the app works well. Thank you guyz👍🏽
