Switched to this a few years ago. Best GPS app I have ever used. It can be setup simple or with a ton of features. The ability to sync to/from the cloud and view my POIs online is nice. Also good track recording is nice too! Reliable offline mapping and routing is a huge benefit too. The only thing lacking is that searching for a city, address, or place is not very good. I normally have to get coords from another source (e.g.eGoogle Maps) and paste that in to OsmAnd. Edited

For a long time, once you'd purchased the plus version, you were able to access all maps. The devs have arbitrarily changed this, insisting I pay for a subscription or individual maps. Sorry, no. I would be fine paying $5-10/year for new maps, but your new model simply doesn't work. One of my favorite apps, now no longer used.

The closest to a perfect navigation app for moto adventuring and moto camping. The only thing I would add is to make the menus more intuitive. Perhaps reorganize things menu items? For example, if the tracks/GPX was a little easier to manage, that would be awesome. I always forget where to find the folders containing the tracks. Also, moving tracks to one folder doesn't always work. Move should be cut, not copy. There are other things that I wish could be improved upon.

Hello. We have transferred your suggestion to the team. Please note that you can use track search by filters (for example: date of creation, name, folder, etc.) and save these filters for more convenient tracks search, as well as create Smart Folders: https://osmand.net/docs/user/personal/tracks/smart-folder

My go-to app for navigation, particularly because it's offline, and also because the map data is open-source. The major weak spot is that the US address lookup is mostly brain-dead. Also, the navigation algorithm doesn't understand US freeway exits. The voice instruction should be "take exit 58", not "turn slightly right". If/when these are fixed, I give it all 5 stars. Edited

Definitely an alternative to google map. Especially of late, there are too many things that google map is trying to do in the back ground, but it's hard not to use google map since it's integrated into many other apps. EDIT: As of the latest update, I have to say, this map app is a definite challenger to the map app that's in every navigation search results, the Google map.
