Finally found an app that can split a bill by items instead of just dividing the total cost by the number of people. OCR worked great on a clearly printed receipt and almost perfectly on a less clear receipt. But editing entries is easy. I had to remove the 'Tax' item, and enter the value after the tip percentage, but the whole process is so much faster and smoother than doing a bunch of math at a restaurant.

Not as easy to use as blitter. I used blitter and snap both for the first time today. Blitter does in one step what snap does in several. With blitter, you hold your phone over the receipt, and it automatically takes the picture and inputs the correct data. With Snap, you have to take a picture and you have to adjust cropping for the correct area. This app does have some advanced features that could be useful. Edited

Hello Donald, thank you for the detailed feedback. Agree with your point regarding taking picture and cropping. We plan to autodetect rect for crop with an ability to adjust it, if the detection should be corrected. It will reduce number of manual actions. We plan to release it soon. We will also try to add automatic perspective correction.

If the creator says the ocr is done on the cloud, this is not true. Test it out for yourself, turn off wifi and cellular, the ocr still works. best app I've seen so far, there should be a one off price, I'd pay 20 bucks, seems like a fair price, since there is nothing the developer provides after download besides updates. Also surprised they don't have splitting the tax in proportion to the amount each person owes. No option to export or send all bills Edited

Thomas, you are so smart :) Our app is cool enough to do OCR on device when you don't have Internet connection. Check quality of OCR with and without internet, if I don't trust us :) Thus there shouldn't be a one off price, or one off price will be not a $20, hope it is clear now. We split taxes and tips according to proportion, you are wrong.

Works pretty well and I use it often, I even paid for the premium to support the developer . I wish there were some features to make it faster such as a recent history of people's names so I don't have to type. Wish there was a way to delete certain people's names. Also tax and tip is split evenly. it should be by item.

Hello Michael, thank you for your support and feedback. We already support autosuggestion for previously entered names, just start typing the name to select it. You can delete person by swiping left/right. Tax and tips will be split in proportion if you add them manually to a dedicated field. We hope you can give us 5 stars :)

I really like the app. It's handy, easy and very useful. However, I accidentally deleted the app and reinstalled it. Unfortunately, allllll my data was erased and I lost everything. Even the bills that I used to accumulate and send monthly, I lost them :( I relied on the info in the description, data can't be removed but apparently the missing half of the sentence was, as long as you don't remove the app. I unfortunately lost a lot of money because of that.

Hello Anas, I am sorry to hear this, but we don't promise storage of bills history online on the servers, you can also see that you do not create any account in the app, it is another sign. But we have this in a list of features. As a workaround you can share bill details as text to any app to have bill backup in such cases. Sorry for inconvinience
