It's a great app for tying your phone up in knots. To be fair, I can't speak to the quality of the application because after numerous attempts to download it, it has never successfully completed a download.So until there's an update, it's useless. Update: I just downloaded and tried version 2, and it's everything I have ever wanted in a knot tying app. I can select the knots that are most useful to my applications and download them to view offline. Gary! I've rebuilt the app to version 2.0, so now the base app only requires 400mb of space and is MUCH faster, with optional downloads for true 3D. Just make sure you delete the old app completely before installing the 2.0 version.

I just downloaded the app and can't get the opening message about deleting the old app version to get off my screen. Clicking on the "X" didn't work, so I have clicked everywhere else that I can think of, and it won't disappear. I can get what's behind that message to change when I click on the options at the bottom of the screen, but the message still won't go away. I closed the app, reopened it, and still no change...

Pretty solid effort for a work in progress. The interface is sluggish and I wish the animations could auto-repeat indefinitely rather than having to tap play over and over. It's earned a place in my app drawer and I'm looking forward to using it more! Edited

This has the potential to best knot tying app available. I really like how I can change the view of the knot while it is being tied. The other 3D app only allows the knot view to be manipulated after it is fully tied. There are some knots tied incorrectly or are partially off screen when tied, so those need to be fixed. To be a great app, it would need to load more quickly. Edited

Chris! The new 2.0 version of the app is out and has a bunch of fixes, including faster loading - I did a complete rebuild!
Make sure you delete the app completely (to clear all the old cache) before switching over to the new one and re-downloading that.

This app is incredible and I'm proud to be an early supporter! I was in boy scouts and I can remember having the hardest time figuring out some knots. Once I figured them out, it was like upgrading my brain. I started to see the mechanics of different knots and it opened up a whole world to me. The smallest difference between two knots can make a fundamental difference in how they can be used. Because of that, I think learning knots is a great analog for learning how important nuance can be.
