What happened to game reviews?! The new version is awful. Absolutely horrible experience, and it's so jarring to use it now. Wish I could install the old version. Smh. Puzzles are also still really buggy and often freeze (every 3-4 puzzles). I do puzzles way more than games, so it's a huge issue for me. Paying 120/yr, I expected better. I cancelled premium and wow, the experience is absolutely awful as a free user. Goodbye. Going back to ad-free Lichess now. Edited

We appreciate this feedback. With the new Game Review, you can still analyze your game with only a few clicks! Simply tap on Next to see each critical moment of your game. If you want to see the top moves following a particular move, tap on Show. To go move-by-move, use the Analysis mode with the icon at the top right.

They just updated the app today, and now when you think you are pressing new game, it glitches and turns into an ad that you click on that goes to its website. It's very predatory. Please change this. *Update: In the past month, I have touched the Ad button over a hundred times based on my Chrome history. Even though I have had a developer respond to my review saying this glitch isn't intentional, nothing has changed. Edited

Sorry for the misunderstanding! We recently updated the post-game display, and this could have lead you to inadvertently tap an ad. This is not intentional, and our team is thoroughly reviewing this new display to help avoid this situation. For further assistance, please visit: www.chess.com/support

Poor communication on the puzzles, mainly I don't know the goal. Additionally, don't call a stalemate when I eliminate the bot's pieces except the king. Let me corner it properly and checkmate, because I'm new to chess and need to understand even that allegedly simple task! Make it an optional automatic win if you must, but stalemate implies neither side can win! I still had a majority of my pieces! Took another star when it called stalemate with multiple pawns remaining. Just say the bot lost! Edited

Puzzle prompts are coming soon! A stalemate is a special rule in chess where a player has no legal move but has not been checkmated, causing the game to be ruled a draw. Check out this great article for more information and examples of stalemates: www.chess.com/terms/stalemate-chess

overall a good app but when facing the coach I feel like they can be more instructive on teaching it feels like there is too much unnecessary dialogue that gets repetitive. also in the game reviews they tell you that you could of won a piece with a tactic without explaining what the tactic is. as someone trying to learn it can be frustrating. besides that the app is really good at everything else. Thank you for this feedback. We'll keep fine-tuning the Coach's dialogue to ensure it is as accurate and useful as possible for your games. When analyzing your games with Game Review, you can tap on the "Show" button to display follow-up moves after the Coach's proposed Best Move. This is the perfect way to hone your game!

Too much in the web version is broken here. There's no coach voices, no coach commentary on puzzles, and no way to save analyses on the analysis board. When you review a game with the coach, it tells you about all your missed opportunities were, but doesn't actually show them to you like it does in the web version, which is pretty important to being able to learn from your mistakes. Having it installed means you can't use the website anymore, so there's no good reason to install this. Edited

Coach audio is available on the Chess.com app! Make sure to enable it in the menu: More > Settings > Coach > Voice (ON). Coach commentary on Puzzles is still being worked on, but is coming soon! In the meantime, you have the Coach in Game Review, Lessons and on the Home page. You can use the app as well as the Chess.com website at the same time!
