Using Danalock for over 4 years so far. Bought another two sets for holiday appartments. Battery lasts for 1-2 years. I had some instances when recalibration was needed, but new software was released and it seems that calibration process improved a lot, especially it allows to select specific lock type an so on. So far so good! Z-Wave with Fibaro/Yubii Home Center 3 works flawlessly. I think even quicker connection than original Danalock app. As I saw in other reviews, Zigbee less reliable.

when i first set up the lock using the app all was fine. calibration worked, auto unlock worked and all that. but after a day or two the danalock app running in the background to do the auto unlock kept crashing, resulting in auto unlock not working. also i need to recalibrate the lock every few weeks for no apparent reason. otherwise it will not lock/unlock properly. better than the danalock classic app. but it still needs some work.

The new calibration in theory is a good wizard, but it just doesn't work most of the time. Have to revert back to the Classic app, as auto calibration sometimes is the only way to unlock. Calibration keeps being forgotten by the device. This is the second Danalock I own and both stopped working well after a few months of use, and afterwards you need to calibrate them every few days to keep basic lock/unlock working

Hi Anton, Sorry to hear that you have issues with you lock again. Please reach out to our support by writing to
[email protected] and we will try to help you. It sounds like a hardware issue rather than being the new calibration method that is causing issues. But please write to us.

It's not just the app that's rubbish it's the lock too. I had mine for about 1.5 years, and it just can't tell if it's locked or unlocked. I've tried both apps, they're both missing key features. Support wasn't helpful at all, basically I was told the lock was probably faulty and if it's under warranty to return it. By that time it wasn't under warranty. So I end up with something like a £300 lump of metal and plastic.

The app fails to do the one thing it should do: unlock your door. If you have no internet in your phone, you stare at a blank screen. Why does the app need internet connection to unlock through Bluetooth?
