Downloading the French Route doesnt seem to be possible for some people, including me and a couple of people ive met along tbe way. It loads 97% of the way and then stalls. Edit: I changed from a 1 to 5 star rating after I figured out how to download the maps. For some reason I couldn't download it the multiple times I tried in France or Spain, but randomly decided to turn on my VPN and spoof that I was back home in the USA. For some reason that worked. Just used this on the camino inglés and it was absolutely essential. I knew where I was at all times, including in that dicey forest alternative route! The pictures that you can pop up that show exactly where to go when the path might be confusing are such a great feature. Also a lot of info about where to eat and places to stay. This is the only app to get.

This is a great app. It's packed with lots of information and features a customization of routes in planning a Camino. Be sure to change to your preferred language in the Settings menu of the app because its default texts are mostly written in Spanish. And please donate to support further development and updates of the app. Edited

The app is very useful and has kept me on the Camino when my lodging has been away from it. The only thing I would like to see is not having to scroll down through the index of localities, which gets longer and longer as I go along. It would be nice if when I opened it if I opened it to where I am at. It is great for finding a place to stay.

i experienced a problem with accessing the Buen Camino app following an update. i contacted the manager and he passed it to his tech person. The problem continued for some days but then one day resolved itself. i am very pleased to have access again as I have found the app to be very useful on previous multiple Caminos. i am currently using it to plan my next Camino in August. Edited
