pretty terrible anymore. it's ad after ad. in between ads are recommended pages. just a few of the things and people I follow show up in between. I spend more time selecting show less than enjoying any part of it. I will also randomly find that I'm following pages I've shown no interest in, not even the content on the page. Completely random slop. when watching a video and trying to look at the description it'll kick you out multiple times to show you the ads on the bottom. Edited

This app used to be great, but now it's just become more and more unstable. Notifications don't appear until you refresh the tab, auto-play for videos keeps turning back on, which I personally hate because it pauses my music, and ads are out of control. I could list more, but it would take more than the maximum word limit. Just stick to facebook on your browser. It works a whole lot better than this junk app. Edited

only some videos can be muted, and that is never an option if you're playing music from an app that you pay for. I have some other issues as far as how complicated the navigation of the mobile app is. two stars for variety of content. I left a bad review and suddenly nothing wants to load even though my signal strength, both wifi and mobile data, are perfectly adequate. Suspicious. Edited

it's Facebook in alls it's good and bad. however, it's becoming a overall negative experience. you see more tending Facebook posts than your friends, the algorithm puts random things that you may or may not care about and there are tons of ads. worst part is they put ads in the middle of videos on top of all the ads you scroll past. I get I'm not the customer but I no longer watch videos when they are interrupted by more ads. at least give me usable videos between the scroll ads. Edited

I've enabled "open links externally" a dozen times, but the app continues to insist on opening everything in its built-in webview. It also disables the setting on updates. Comment sorting and anchoring has never worked on this app, which is absurd. Clicking links from notifications does not take you to the intended target. Overall, it's hard to believe that this is the official app of a multi-billion-dollar tech-oriented company. Edited
