Was working great until about a week ago when I can no longer view all of the apps that I'm already linked with. When adding a device that works with Google I can only see from Philip Hues and below (TP Link, Smart Life, Treat Life, etc). I can also see all the other apps that are available to link to. But I can't see Nest or Eufy as they are alphabetical above Philip Hues. I've cleared cache and storage as well as uninstall and reinstall to no avail.

--- Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) The Google Home app is okay overall, but not great. I use it to control a few smart devices, and when it works, it's actually pretty convenient. But it can be frustrating—sometimes it lags or disconnects for no reason, and that's annoying when you just want things to work smoothly. The layout isn’t super intuitive either; it could definitely be simplified. As someone who’s into tech and likes things to run efficiently, it need more polish and stability.

Rough, wish it was the go to app for everything like it wants to be. Consistently disconnects my phone from my wifi when simply opening the app. I cannot view cameras (let alone quickly), cannot access lights consistently, just frustrating. Not sure if it's a pixel/Google home issue, but I'd assume they would work together in the same family.

Night vision OFF setting is gone?? Bring it back! My camera was in black & white "night mode" until 10am on a sunny day! Unacceptable. Edit- Article response is useless, it stayed "night mode" 4+ hours past dawn on a sunny day. I want it OFF. I have lighting. This feature was always there until recently. Bring it back! Or at least have some adjustability for light sensitivity. 10am is far past "night". Edited

UPDATED REVIEW (6/24/25): It turns out that the reason my devices weren't listed in the Home app is because of my VPN, which blocked the connection, I guess. Now, whenever I want to cast, I just have to remember to turn off my VPN. PREVIOUS REVIEW (6/5/25): Until yesterday, I could easily cast my audio to my Google speaker devices. When I open the Home app, sometimes the devices are listed, sometimes they're not. I'll click on a listed device only to see a notification that it's not available. Edited
