I enjoyed the usefulness of this app and quietly applauded GovTech. However, on several occasions recently, I could not park my car to carry out intended errands simply because the app just wouldn't stop computing the parking fee until "server response timeout". I confirm I had no connectivity issues with other apps. The same problem persists even with a switch of phone. Imagine how frustrating it is to reach your destination yet can't leave your car? Now using the app with constant trepidation.

This is about the best thing that has ever happened to a vehicle owner. However, e-coupon expiration alert could be expanded to giving out a continuous vibration and/or sound depending on the user's preferences. For the current window notification prompt to alert which has no sound nor vibration can make a vehicle owner forget about extending the e-coupon when our phones are kept inside our pockets hence risking being fined. Hope the developer could look into it. Thanks for making our life easier and better.🤗 Edited

Thanks for the feedback! We really appreciate it :) We're an in-house team (https://open.gov.sg). Changing the notification sound or allowing user customisation is something we have considered and is in our product backlog. We may implement it in the future.

One of the rare occasions when government designed apps actually work smoothly, as intended, and comes with prompt responses to boot. Much more convenient than the conventional paper coupons, as well as offering per minute charging. One feature that might be considered in the future: allow app payment to be made for parking within EPS carparks. That would do away with the need for physical cashcard, possibly reducing time spent waiting at gantries. Keep up the good work! Edited

When keying in a vehicle reg. no. it stated "ADD VEHICLE" but in fact it was not "adding". There's a difference between 'add' and 'update'. App allowed only one vehicle reg. no. to be used at a time, so after the first use, 'Add' actually meant 'change' or 'update'. Led to confusion and error in paying parking for the wrong vehicle. Then the driver got a ticket. Allow ADDING of vehicles' reg. nos. to make it more useful for multi-vehicle users. (2018) Edited

Actually, once you've parked using 2 or more vehicles, the app will let you select one of past vehicles you've used. That's already in place for people with multiple vehicles. The app is optimised for the majority, which is single vehicle users, but before every parking session, there's already a confirmation screen with the vehicle number.

Had an issue with the app once where it wasn't able to load the charges for me to make payment. Got a fine in the few minutes I went to dabao food. Even though I submitted screenshots of the error with timestamps and a long history of making parking payments to prove I wasn't trying to evade parking fees, the appeal got rejected. So while the convenience is there, the reliability isn't, and I still need to buy paper coupons anyway.
