Ridiculous setup and not free. You have to download two other apps/programs to make it work. Then after I spent about an hour setting it up. It's not even working. When you go to open the app, it goes crazy and crashes. This might be some sort of malware, beware. Edit: Wow you attack me over reviewing your so called professional and poor quality app... Not very professional of you. Edited

LK is a professional tool built over 10 years, not a toy app. It's not free because serious work went into it. If setup felt hard, maybe this app isn’t for you, it requires basic knowledge. Crashes are rare and device-specific. Edit: We did not attack you. We are simply defending LK, because calling it malware is false and misleading.

This is a great app, but i give it three stars because the in app purchases shouldn't be so complicated. I wouldnt mind paying a fair price for the entire thing, and in fact, the first thing i did was look to see how i could buy it, but was turned off by how it seems like it fragmented. My advice is, if you really want to peice it out, setup a couple tiers. Like Ableton Live has Lite, Intro, etc.

Hi Chris, thank you for your review and feedback. The pricing structure is designed to offer the best value for money by allowing users to choose only the functionality they need/use. Thank you for your input on this.

Looked promising, but ultimately is disappointing. Setup is a pain, so much so that I ran out of demo time (a feature that wasn't made clear before downloading or upon first opening) to use the module I was testing before I had a chance to run the controller through its paces. Could not get USB connection working, so latency was also a major issue. Not really excited to pay to unlock each module separately either, even if everything worked smoothly. I'll just save up for hardware, thanks.

hi John, thanks for your review and feedback, we're sorry you didn't have the best experience with LK. Demo time can be reset by restarting the app.

Love the different scales and that you can record midi tracks. Not sure there is another app like it. My main issue is that the metronome in midi mode is broken. It is not synced up to the track and therefore pretty useless. Also wish they didn't nickle and dime you for every feature. Edit: Compared the metronome to the one on the ipad app (that works fine btw) and it seems the issue is not the metronome but the matrix timeline is what's running the wrong time. Edited

Thank you for responding. Please update your documentation as this is working as you described. Still have problems with disconnects, and would think adding a scale mode for the pads would be a nice interface ill add a star to the review as it could be useful for some people. Read the manual and purchased modules, but sadly major issues persist. You are not able to scroll the piano roll making it quite useless. Yes you can navigate it, but not move up and down the scale to different pitches. How can this be left out? The guide references tools that are not present, like they pen key and metronome, and vague descriptions of items that are not in the same position as the interface pictured just makes it more confusing. Buggy communications loosing, wired connection is just bad. You have to leave ableton mode to get the device list sometimes. Very simple interface limitations exist, no scale mode at this point is just a fail. Overall I know we dont exactly have many choices, but this one will just frustrate you and cost you money better spent on vsts. Edited

James, you keep mentioning the scale mode. What do you mean by that? And again, you can't scroll the keyboard pitches up and down? Really? Do we need to make you a video? Yes, we definitely need to! Regards
